Member Bio

I am an ambidextrous painter, and find creative inspiration for my paintings in the natural world around me. Interested in bold expression, I strive to play upon dramatic color, form, and perspective to stir emotion.

Originally from Australia, I draw upon a rich cultural upbringing of childhood years spent with Aborigines and living in the Outback.  The richness of the Australian landscape influences my love of vibrant color and contrast.

An emerging self-taught fine artist, I have sought additional training with Bobbie Rich Fine Art and will graduate with a BA in Psychology, in late 2012.  My floral series exhibited in a private exhibition in San Diego.  I had a solo exhibition in February with Musician David Maldonado and have a showcase event March 25th with RAWArtists "Stimulus", in Los Angeles.  I participate in art shows and in art related activities to include a group exhibition at 2011 Pico Art Festival in Santa Monica, CA. Gustav Klimt, Picasso, Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe are just a few artists who inspire me.  When not painting, I volunteer with LA Scores - soon to embark on teaching art to the children there as part of my volunteering, Silverado Hospice, Free Arts for Abused Children, and LA Vets.
